Ethan & Abby – California. What a day, kind of rainy snow, then coldy snow, then a little sun, then slush … tomorrow could be something to write home about. Getting rid of the wedge, forward pressure drills, rhythm turns in fall line, some trees, two black diamond runs, less edge, more slide and shape.

Torren & Zev – Arrowhead. Peregrin (double black) in the AM when the bumps still frozen, that was thrilling, Spider, Sourdough, Shoehorn, by 1:00 it was water skiing. Fall line bumps, softer outside leg, less arm motion, less ‘shopping’. ‘Good for you’ snow, that’s about all that can be said of it.

Tessa & Torren – Arrowhead. Frozen ‘stuff’ in the morning, slush from 11:00 on, some real world class slush, grabby stuff. Larkspur bumps, more flexion at turn initiation on top of bump. Tessa got some body movement, kind of wrong timing and breaking at waist instead of lower joints flexing … but it’s movement and the rest can be worked out.

Collin & Henry (father/son) – Plandome, NY. From wedge to sliding, steering, shaping, less hard edge and sharp turn, straighter line, speed control with shape and friction, upper body stability, pole balance, hands on knees, shin pressure, flexion in lower joints, pole touch bringing hips over the skis, early edge change, tip before steer.
