First Babes class of the season! Pati, Donna, Joelle, Barbara, Ashley, Jo, Nancy. Set goals, enjoy the sun (but a bit cold), find our legs, start with core alignment. Jo tweeked her knee, have not heard from her yet this evening … anxious. Great start ladies – we are off and running – or skiing as is our case.

Houston and Monterery Mexico, level 1, snowy day, a bit cold by late afternoon. Lots of success, some frustration, a bit of altitude sickness – all part of the mystique and wonder of skiing. Everyone turning left and right – now comes the progression to parallel – effort goes down, fun goes up.

Antonio was in plendid form this morning – did want anything to do with me. On the other hand, Luiza was charming, singing all the way down green and blue slopes making turns in a power wedge kind of thing. Sylvia, you are a most patient mom … and I like the changes in your skiing. Have a good winter (down under), see you next winter (up top).

What an interesting day – sunny and warm – eat lunch outside at the Ski Hill Grill – explore peak 7 and 9 – working on technique – Joan Pedro takes a big hit on lower Bonanza thanks to an out of control skier – last two runs with complete family minus Antonio. Love to see both feet stay on the snow all the way through the turn – know it’s not always easy but will pay huge benefits as the years go by.
