English Invasion: Andrew, Linda, Louise, Dan – a family that skis together drinks champagne together! Nothing like a day of English humor – lots of sunburn smiles. Balance, alignment, pivots, turn completion, turn patience, bump tactics, skiing the ‘black and blue’, Tbar, successes, less successes (no failures), ‘seeing the bigger picture’, colisions (these always make my heart stop). Thank you for letting me share your day and enjoying the mountain together.

Rita, Jill, Christa (aka Z) – level 6 (you ladies could easily ski in a level 7 class), sunny morning, mild temps, no wind (to speak of). Waking up the inside ski (the one that has just been hanging out for quite a few years), completing the turns, widen the stance, align the hips/shoulders/hands, fulcrum leg steering, happy feet, balance the poles on the wrists, lift the outside ski forcing ‘the other one’ to pony up and do something
, Good humor ladies, thanks for the laughs – well earned margaritas for all!

Mike, level 9, temp mid teens with high winds, Tbar was a blizzard, skiing was worth the two rides up. Mind Shaft, Inferno, Horseshoe, Rustler, Tiger woods, Duke woods, Northstar woods. Fulcrum leg steering, closing the stance, pivot turns, 360s, one ski skiing, one ski side slips, more equal weight on both skis, one ski pivot turns, tactics in bumps, steering the tips to the fall line, patience at turn initiation, waking up the inside ski. And…….lots of knowledge on the how the meat packing industry functions. Good day Mike ….. again next year!

Last day of ‘official’ Babes – Donna, Elsa, Barbara, Patti, Joelle – powder day all the way. ‘Ski the Feet’, commit to the new turn, balance on the whole foot and compress the arch, don’t rush the initiation, complete with a little uphill, no big sudden moves, don’t stop at the transitions… just keep ‘um rolling down the the mountain. It’s been a great eight weeks ladies – thank you for letting us all share two months of our skiing lives together.
