Bob, Pamela, Amy, Mary Beth, Joelle, Barbara, Ernie, Brenda – wicked wind until 10:00AM, then a grand day. Bumps and race course (some bronze medals) … lots of attention on balancing in the middle of the new outside ski on it’s inside edge, clean edge change through neutral … Battery Man at lunch (had to be there to understand).

Becky, Judy, Pam, Donna – an absolute blizzard day, no picture, great snow, working on committing to the new outside ski, early edge change, how to tighten the turn, pole touch. Now this is winter – how enjoyable, thank you.

BABES: Nancy, Judy, Pam, Becky, Penny Donna Joelle, Sally Debs. Focus of the day – neutral. Using flexion of the hip to find neutral (skis parallel to the snow, even weight), from neutral hip continues to flex bringing skis to new edges as balance progresses to the middle of the new outside ski on it’s inside edge … at the turn developes the inside hip is hight and ahead providing support for the forces building on the outside ski. Some good break throughs today … well done to all!

Simon and Georgie, sometimes Indonesia, sometimes other reaches of the world. Upper body stability, pole touch to initiate the turn, bump tactics, shaping with some skid, trees, pole balance in mild bumps – Duke bumps, High Anxiety, Rounders, Toilet Bowl, Crescendo bumps, North Star. Terrific afternoon with lots of vertical – Georgie, you ski like you were born on skis!

Francisco skiing mild blue (Crescendo), the girls skiing Rips Ride, Jacqueline beginning to understand leg steering and direction change. Weather comfortable – a good day for all.
