DSC01667DSC01663Jill and Chuck from St. Louis – Jill’s first day on skis – amazing, what a natural. 15 minute on the Magic Carpet, 30 minutes on the Poma, an hour on chair #5, right to the Colorado lift and then bumps and trees – finsh out the day in Toilet Bowl. If only the Latuda family could learn so quickly.

DSC01660Killer day eventhough the morning was a slow start – think the pivot slips put everyone in a coma – but the troops rallied and the afternoon was exploring like a bunch of kids. Nancy, Pam, Deb, Becky, Sally, Jenny, Donna, Dawn, Judy. Wayout Bowl (Peak 6), Rustler, Ore Bucket, Upper Towlet Bowl, LJ – some of the best skiing all year. Pays to have determination!!!!

DSC01600DSC01598Paola, Pam, Donna, Dawn, Marilyn, Janet, Joelle, Kathy. Most interesting moments of the day – Solitude. Most success – Little Johnnies and Dukes bumps. Most confusion – explaining hip rotation. Most tasty – cocolate for lunch. Thank you ladies for not abandoning me after the hip lecture, we’ll put that one away for awhile. Hopefully everyone has an appreciation for pivot slips now … there is a reason!

Joelle, Donna, Sally, Debbs, Pam, Judy, Becky, Nancy, Dawn, Jenny – one cold day, -55 wind chill, but we were still skiing at 3:00pm … now that’s hardy skiers. Eliminate the step in bumps – main focus – definitely time to make that go away. Lots of chocolatte for lunch , thanks Nancy.

No picture, all video today. Mark, Paola, Julian, Amy. Bowls and bumps, sideslips, hockey stops, pivot turns, joints that tip, leg rotation … and tons of skidding. Light bulb day for Paola and Amy, good speed control and shape on Rustler and Peerless bumps … you ladies are understanding the key to edge control … Julian is a ripper, trees and bowls, with one hit on Mach 1 … Mark dialing in on whtat upper and lower body separation is all about. Dandy day!!
