March 2, 2014 – Afternoon

DSC01692DSC01684Chuck and Jill – banner day for both. Jills third day on skis (ever) and doing blues on Peak 9 with lots of parallel turns. Chuck and I up to Peak 6 working on simulaneous edge change with the new inside ski engaging early, less monster edge to allow shaping and friction to help with speed control … isn’t it amazing how much money is spent and all day long each turn is made with the intent to stop vs. the intent to go! Much accomplishment guys, big mountain is in your future!

March 3, 2014 – Morning

DSC01683Dawn, Stephen and Max – all mountain skiers! What a day, sunny, kinda warm, light winds … we earned this one. Working on less edge, ok to skid and shape the turns more rounded, pivots, side slips, hockey slides and stops, skiing off pisted with less big edge and more down the fall line. Max suffering with new boot issues … not fun but he is young.

DSC01679DSC01668Definitely in like a lion! Snow and wind but not so cold, skiing danday. John from LA/Nashville. Hop turns, hip tilt, pipe leg rotation, pole plant, simultaneous leg movements, less edge. Skiing easy blues now … nicely done.
