Andrew, Alex, Caesar (not sure if this is correct spelling), Will, George, Leanne, Frank – pretty much all from St. Louis, Notre Dame, Duke. Start on Magic Carpet, then Rips Ride, then chair 5, then Peak 9 and the Mercury – that was impressive, gliding wedges to parallel turns on blue terrain (Bonanza and Columbia). Gliding wedges, turning gliding wedges, matching during the traverse, how to get the uphill ski to release (tip it more flat), start the turns with the downhill ski, arms out (get the weight forward), leg steering (maybe easier to think of it as feet steering), sliding in each turn for speed control and allowing the skis to be shaped with leg steering, ankle/knee/waist flexion (all these angles approximately equal), upper body stability (Alex, this is your biggest challenge), let the lower body (hips and below) do the work, face more down the mountain at all times. Was a great day meeting all of you and seeing you progress – have fun and be safe tomorrow. Thank you for letting me share.
