Wow, serious cold, serious good skiing, the run down the T-bar fence line this morning was some of the best in two years. That was good, but just as enjoyable – watching Leanne and Alex start to light up with their skiing, intro to bumps, ski shapes starting to show some dynamics (skis are actually bending and working), upper body more stable, ankles flexing … this has been such a work in progress, I will sleep good tonight (well, as long as the $1.09 hot water thought does not come in the mind about 2:30AM). Tomorrow amigos!

PS. Frank almost pulled off the double binding entry.

Lena, Lukas, Barbara, Johannes – Munich. Solid all mountain skiers, what a fun day, what a cold day … made all the peaks on the grand tour … skiing is delightful right now. Best snow probably on Peak 6 off the lift to the left, loads in the bowl. Thx for teaching me a little about drive chains and wine (definitely an interesting combination). Dandy skiing today!

Ken,Ken, Michelle, Jason, Lisa, Christina, Drew – Miami, Level 1 and 3. Interesting day for sure, wedges, sliding wedges, direction change, riding the chair lift, balance, completing the turn, femur rotation, flatter skis, pizza for lunch, mixing business with skiing (Drew, have never seen anyone multi-task so well). Take care, have a great vacation … it was a fun day.

Philip, Nashville, level 5, delightful day in afternoon, no wind (go figure that at Breckenridge). Less edge (a lot less edge), more flexion in ankles and knees, leg rotation, tipping to release edges, side slips, skidding to shape turn and use ski/snow friction, completing the turn, linking turns. Thx for the whiskey … a fun and productive day.

Sunil, Shefali, Islaan, Ashni – Houston, some first time, some not. Magic carpet for 45 minutes then up to the Poma … turns for speed control, flatter skis to allow leg steering, don’t rush ‘things’, quiet upper body – let the guiding and tipping come from the legs, if the inside ski hangs up tip it slightly flatter and it will then turn with the outside ski. I enjoyed our morning, sorry about the ticket issue. Enjoy your day tomorrow!

Today was a cold one ‘Mr. Grinch’, especially the afternoon, wow, had to take an extra warm up break at the Overlook. Lots of powder and off piste type snow. Nancy, Lisa, Phillipa, Brenda, Linda, Charmane, Meow, Nick, Elaine. Main theme: balance, hips support the base of support, pulling feet back, never lose pressure on either foot anywhere in the turn (especially not at transition), let the inside half lead through out the turn – don’t give up at finish, let the pole plant bring the center of mass into the new turn, some hops, some one ski skiing, arm/hand/pole plant discipline. Crescendo, Dukes, North Star, American, Peerless, High A, Rounders, Southern Cross. Good skiing ‘Dudes’!
