Breckenridge Ski Lesson Pictures And Some Food For Thought

Level 7 – very good Level 7. Goals: technique, powder, steering, effeciency, just follow, ‘getting rid (old habits)’, confidence. Georges Thumb (first double black for a couple), Forget-Me-Not and Pica for off pieste, Dukes for some bumps. Thanks to all – this was a terrific day!

Leanne: first black (Upper 4 O’clock) and 40 knot winds (are we still speaking?). Frank and Andrew: Independence Bowl (and 41 knot winds) and Dukes bumps. Arianna: narrower stance, slower turns at the initiation, crus

hed Dukes with parallels. Alexandria: 10 parallels in a row and Gummy Bears (even saw her share with sister). You guys are a great team, thank you for letting me be a part of the insanity. Have a great summer – see you next winter.

Our best day yet. Complete the turn (last 20%) and upper body stability for Mom, shinboo for Andrew and Arriana (sure I’m still not spelling  your name correct), parallel turns for Alexandria. Outhouse, Duke trees, Swinger trees, Pica, White Crown. I am as pround of all the progress surely as much as all of you. We rage again on Friday!

Level 6: feather the edges, body to the inside/feet to the outside of the turn, commit early, shaping, NO panic as the terrain steepens. George, the last 45 minutes was worth all of both days together, it clicked – thank you, I can sleep tonight.

Alexandria – two parallel turns, YES. You earned the Zipper Ripper.

Level 1 & level 5. Gliding wedge turns at the Poma for Jim – parallel turns with no lifting on Dyersville for Kristy. A most productive and fun morning, thank you.

Level 5 (but not for long). Good day working on fundamentals in the morning and practice with mileage in the afternoon. Windy but workable. Peak 8 for AM

drills, Peak 7 for PM turns.
