Alex, Houston. Took awhile to ‘kind’ of figure you out Alex, your are listening when appearing to not listen. Matching, tipping the inside ski to aid in matching, knee and ankle flexion, speed control with friction and turning, don’t rush the turns/give time to balance. I think you are smart beyond your years, I hope you use this talent wisely.
March 11, 2016 (Morning)
Melisa, Vermont. Pole balance, stabilize upper body, less stem christy and more matching, let skis slide together, bigger radius turn, turn shape and friction to control speed, hand/arm in athletic position, any subject game-trees, not spending the day trying to stop – spending the day enjoying the go.

March 5, 2016
Meow, Nick, Linda, Brenda, Don, Kay – last day of Club, sunny (kind of), warm, snow good, fitting end. Ski tipping axis, magnitude of edge angle, skidding vs. carving, pressure feel on bottom of foot, ridding the edge, maintaining pressure on both skis at all times, pelvis alignment. A good season guys … and … lots of chocolate (probably too much).

March 4, 2016
Joelle, Nancy, Donna, Kay, Paul, Pam – a difficult day all things considered, just hard to get all the pieces put together in the right places. Level 7.
March 3, 2016
Chonghe, Chris, Laurel, Jenny, Diane, Betty, Olive, Paola, Mitzi – the Crazy 8s … last club day, where did that 10 weeks go … I am ready for summer, canyons and running – that being said I will miss these days of fun, leaning and good/challenging skiing. Still working on keeping the inside 1/2 of the body active all the way through turn completion (got to keep the hips aligned with the fee), fists between knees drill, flex to edge change and manage the ascending mogul, extend to create pressure though the shaping phase and maintain ski/snow contact as the mogul drops away. Hiked Peak 8 this morning, as usual a gale on top (would be weird not to have that), some challenging ‘stuff’ coming down the bowl and into upper Way Out … the ‘challenging’ stuff is just the best (have to use all the ammo in our bag of tricks). It’s been a great season – thank you!

February 28, 2016
Lopez family – Mexico – levels 1 through 4. Less wedge, more matching, softer edges, allow the skis to skid, riding chairs 7 and 5, jump turns, wider turns (turning to sharp causes the inside ski to ‘dig’), not allowing the hands and arms to be lazy, controlling speed with turns. Delightful day meeting and teaching each of you – enjoy your time in Breckenridge. PS. Gabby, you own me one shot of good tequila … I intend to collect some day.

February 27, 2016
Don, Nick, Meow, Brenda, Linda – pressuring more front part of ski, what it feels like to really flex ankles, stay low drills to keep from ‘popping’ and clean simultaneous edge changes, edge changes from a turn up the hill, stable upper body, how the inside 1/2 aligns with the feet. Half day drills, half day skiing bumps and off piste. Energy of group is rising, especially on the lower mountain!
