Laura – level 5 going on 6. 12″ new snow, cold wintery day – the stuff skiing is made of. Upper body alignment, pole useage (why we even bother), independent leg steering, turn initiation, less edge and more shape … Volunteer (a black run with lots of untracked snow. Good job Laura, thank you for being such an attentive student.

And the Latudas depart east in a blaze of glory. Inferno, Tom’s Baby, Horseshoe Bowl, Tiger Trees, Toilet Bowl, Peerless, inside ski turns, outside ski turns, one ski turns, hop turns, pivot turns, pole balance in black bumps, railroad track turns, and our fair share of rocks. Great finish – now back to the grind. Hope tomorrow travel not too difficult. Cheers.

The whole “L” gang … hmmm, yeah, gang is as good word. Focus of the day – pole plants, initiation, CM crossover, inside ski release, rhythm, let CM go with the skis, skis follow an arc (tip follows tale). Light bulb for LeAnn, Alexandria starting the ‘pole touch’ process.Three bronze medal winners … oh I’m sure there is much merriment tonight. Don’t stay up too late, church comes early.

Eve -AM – light bulb moments with the inside leg steering, upper lower body separation – now a level 5 – tomorrow the race ciruit. Fun morning … Happy New Year.
Frank, Andrew and Areana – PM (no picture today, just the video) … focus on bumps, bumps and more bumps … pole plant to initiate … commit down the mountain … keep open to the downhill … more pressure on the ski forebody is good. And the Latudas roar in 2014 firing on all cylinders!

Just wrote a long note but didn’t publish, dang. To summary: ‘light bulb” days for Frank and Alexandria, LeAnn’s is coming but not when expected, Andrew has no bones conneted to anything, Areana skiing bumps better all the time and especially when keeping upper body facing down the mountain. This place always more fun with the Latuda Frenzy is in town.
